Dear Preschool and School Parents:
It is with great pleasure that the School Board announces the selection of Barbara Nazar as our next Preschool
Director.
Barbara has served with distinction as Interim Director since last October. Barbara has been with our school as the
longest tenured staff member. She possesses passion and vision for our school and is excited to lead our Preschool
forward to new heights. Barbara has the support of current staff and enjoys a warm and rich relationship with each
member. Our parents have known Barbara for many years and she has come to represent the face and personality
of our Preschool. Church Administration is excited to have such a wonderful team member enriching our campus
ministries.
Barbara loves to teach and will be continuing to teach as a component of her responsibilities. Pat will assist you in
the morning hours and Barbara will assist you in the afternoon hours. Barbara and Pat look forward to serving your
family and children in the coming months.
We are also incorporating the Summer Day program and Elementary After School program under the Preschool
Director. Barbara will be working with Liz McIver, our Summer Day Director and Anne Gomola, our Elementary
After School Director. Karla Robey will be lending assistance as our lead Preschool teacher as well as Karen
Downs as our lead Preschool Early Drop off and Preschool After School teacher.
Please join us in supporting your new Director and extend your best wishes to her as you have opportunity.
Your School Board also wishes to update you on the search for our new Head of School for Effort Christian School.
We are currently in dialogue with our leading candidate who possesses a rich background in education and
administration ranging from public schools K-12, Church-based schools, and private academic preparatory schools.
Our lead candidate has met our teaching staff and visited the classrooms and has met with your school board. As
we continue to move forward, we ask you to be in prayer for God’s still small voice to confirm His choice in the
candidate’s spirit and our hearts.
