For his first show in Quebec, the Grammy-nominated rapper B.o.B has
chosen the International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu
May 30th, 2012, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu – Already an international hip-hop
superstar, the young American rapper B.o.B will appear for the first time in Quebec
exclusively on the Loto-Quebec stage of the International Balloon Festival in Saint-Jeansur-Richelieu on Saturday, August 18, 2012.
B.o.B's latest album, "Strange Clouds", is among the most popular on many
international charts. On the site of the largest hot-air balloon gathering in Canada,
visitors will dance to the captivating rhythms of his songs including his most recent
success So Good, Both of Us and Ray Bands.
“Strange Clouds” is the highly-anticipated follow-up to B.o.B’s critically-acclaimed,
RIAA-certified Gold debut album, “B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray,” which
earned an outstanding five Grammy nominations including “Best Rap Album.” The album
also spawned three multiplatinum singles, Nothin’ On You (feat. Bruno Mars), Magic
(feat. Rivers Cuomo), and Airplanes (feat. Hayley Williams of Paramore) the latter being
certified 4X Platinum by the RIAA. “Strange Clouds” was released on May 1st and
debuted at #1 on Billboard’s “Top Rap Albums” chart.
The International Balloon Festival has already announced the arrival of other worldwide
superstars: Mika (August 15th), Simple plan (August 16th), The Wanted (August 17th)
and Carly Rae Jepsen (August 17th). The complete programming of the shows will be
revealed mid-June.
The International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, presented by Laurentian
Bank in collaboration with Loto-Quebec, returns in full force with its 29th edition which
will be held from August 11th to 19th, 2012. The programming will be revealed on June
