Player Development Centre Success
Nottinghamshire PDC Proving
To Be Hotbed of Talent!
Over the past 2 years, the PDC has moved on
7 players, some of whom have gone all the
way to represent England at youth level.
The Nottinghamshire FA Girls Player
Development Centre is designed to bridge the
gap between grassroots football and a Centre
of Excellence, providing a more complete
pathway for talented young players.
Emma Goddard, Edan Watley, Rebecca
Matthews, Lauren Parks, Rebecca Lowther,
Kelsey Benton, Frankie Wilson and Taryn Hill
have all gone on to Centre of Excellence
football and beyond.
Providing aspiring young footballers the best
opportunity to develop has seen 7 players from
Nottingham go onto Centre of Excellence
football, in neighbouring county Derbyshire.

FA Girls Football Week
The FA is to run Girls Football Week to
encourage more education institutions to run
female specific football sessions.
The week will run from 5-11 October and has
been developed from the success of previous
Women’s Football Weeks, which were targeted
at higher educational establishments.
In 2014, more than 2,000 people took part in the
sessions across 80 institutions. It is aimed that
this year, 5,000 girls and women will play
football during the week.

Girls League Receive
Charter Standard Status
The Nottinghamshire Girls and Ladies
League have successfully been signed off
as an FA Charter Standard League for
2015/16.
The League have worked very hard and
with the support of The Nottinghamshire FA
have now recieved The FA's kitemark for
quality.
League Chairman Jason Lowther was
delighted with the announcement: "This
is great news and I thank all of the
committee for their continuing commitment
to the female game in Nottinghamshire. We
have a great league in a growing game and
I applaud all our member clubs for their
contribution towards our Charter League
