OTTAWA – Gusto TV is prepping a new original
documentary series and website that follows the
journey of unique and exotic Canadian ingredients
from harvest to plate.
Crate to Plate is a four part series that tells the
story of a single ingredient, featuring spot prawns,
morel mushrooms, organically farmed
asparagus, and visually-stunning cranberries,
from the perspective of those involved in the
farming, packaging, shipping, cooking, and finally
eating stages. The series’ website encourages home chefs to explore different ingredients by providing additional
information along with recipe suggestions and exclusive web-only video content. Crate to Plate premieres May 1 at 7:00 PM ET/12:00 AM PT on Gusto TV.
