Social Studies: Students will make the connection between the authority figures in the school and the definition of their jobs. Students will become more familiar with the school and the authority figures in the school by using a map as a tool. Tuesday Word Study: Students demonstrate alphabetic knowledge by recognizing and naming the letters of the alphabet. Students sequence the letters in their name and begin to write their name. Shared Reading: Students hold a book right side up, turn pages correctly, and show that reading moves top to bottom and left to right. Social Studies: Students will be introduced to sequencing and model the use of vocabulary related to time and chronology by using a rhyme. Students will demonstrate understanding by placing the pictures in order and describing the order of the events using appropriate vocabulary.
