Process Gas Helium Recovery GENERON® Membrane Technology Typical Applications Cryogenic Leak Detection Electronics Controlled atmospheres Welding and Fabrication Silicon Wafers Lift Gas Breathing mixtures (diving) Helium is found in natural gas deposits. Helium has the lowest boiling point making it ideal to be used in cryogenics, particularly in the cooling of superconducting magnets, i.e MRI and NMR. It is also used in the process of growing crystals to make silicon wafers as well as other applications mentioned above. Generon’s helium recovery membrane systems offer a good way to recover the helium efficiently and cost effectively from gas. GENERON® membrane systems help achieve high helium recovery and purity. The customized helium recovery membrane systems are fabricated in our ISO 9000 Certified facility in Houston, TX while the membrane® is fabricated in our Pittsburg, CA facility. GENERON works directly with the client to provide the most efficient and most cost effective solution. The GENERON® Advantage Extensive Experience - Custom Designing Simple Solution - No Moving Parts, maintenance State of the Art Membrane - High Recoveries No chemicals - Environmentally friendly WWW.GENERON.COM 2016 Helium Recovery GENERON® Membrane Technology In a typical GENERON® membrane system for helium recovery the feed gas is first filtered to remove any particles and condensate. Helium gas permeates extremely “fast” through the membrane walls. The permeated gas is the helium rich product stream with purities in the upper 90% range. The “slower” permeating gases are collected in the non-permeate (“retentate”). Advantages of MEMBRANE Systems: No moving parts, and designed for remote unmanned operation Efficient packaging minimizes space and weight — ideal for offshore applications Custom designed systems - maximize total helium recovery System flexibility - Can operate at wide range of flow rates and helium content Quick deployment & quick Installation - skidded system can be installed in hours The System Performance: Feed gas pressures up to 2000 psi (138 bar) Helium purities to 99.9% Flow rates of 0.01 to 500 MMscfd > 98% helium recovery GENERON 16250 Tomball Parkway Houston, Texas 77086 713-937-5200 [email protected] Go Direct:GENERON Delivers WWW.GENERON.COM 2016
