• The LFx can store up to 250 contact cards, including up to 32
contact lists
• A list is composed of individual contacts already stored
• To manage directory, use 1
• After creating a contact card, you may display it, modify its
contents, or even delete it.
• To print the directory, press 15 or 53
• To save/restore the directory, use the optional directory card

• Sending a fax manually
• Position the document(s), press , adjust the sound level
using / keys (if necessary), enter the recipient number
• The remote fax is called and as soon as you hear the fax
signal, press
to start transmission
• Rerouting faxes to a contact stored in the directory
• Enable rerouting: 3911
• Menus 392 and 393 are therefore enabled
• 392 then enter the destination number from directory
• 3931 to have a local copy of the rerouted document
• A fax can be rerouted to a contact’s Email address if the
contact’s fax machine is not available

• The printer can be used for faxes, emails, reports, logs, guides,
technical parameters and for copying.
• The printer can also be used as a PC printer

Cleaning Scanner
• When one or more vertical lines appear on transmitted copies or
faxes, clean the scanner with a soft, lint-free cloth, dampened with
alcohol.

Cleaning Printer
• Clean the outside of the printer with a smooth duster
• Remove the imaging cartridge and clean the paper take-up roll
then replace the cartridge
• Note 1: The imaging cartridge is the drum cartridge, to which
the toner cartridge is mounted

a print operation

• Switch off the LFx and clean the top of the control panel and the
keys with a lint-free cloth moistened with isopropyl alcohol or by
means of a spray-on cleaning product. Let the product act for a
few moments before wiping it off

• If the LFx could not send a document, it will retry 5 minutes later (5
repeats maximum)
• In case of FEEDER send type, three possibilities:

• Restart immediately by pressing

Scanner Failure
• Scanner paper jam: when it occurs, the message “REMOVE THE
DOCUMENT” is displayed
• Open the scanner cover, remove the paper and close the cover
• If this incident occurs frequently, the scanner should be cleaned
or even repaired
• Scanned documents are no longer acceptable
• Do a scanner calibration: 80
• If a few calibrations do not resolve the problem, check the
printer or the consumables
