A gravure proof press can also be used for in-house development work and for staff training purposes. At a cylinder engraver a gravure proof press is used to check the quality, separation, text and register of a cylinder. The customer approved proof ensures costly cylinder rejections are eliminated. For a gravure printer the proof press is used for production matching proofs using production parameters, i.e. cylinder, inks and substrate. Proofs are approved by the customer which eliminates losing valuable production time for on press approvals. Electrostatic Assist System Sample proofs are produced quickly and the proof establishes the correct colour mix formula and ink standards to allow elimination of production press downtime caused by cylinder issues. The SC range of machines cover the most common cylinder sizes up to face width of 1800mm. The HA range covers larger and longer repeat cylinders. Both models are supplied in three drum circumference sizes offering proof lengths of 2600mm, 3500mm and 5000mm with the ability to proof half lengths.
