Tournament Structure
Tournament Play
On Saturday each team will be assigned to and compete in a round robin format for 3 games.
There will be NO overtimes in the regular portion of the tournament with teams earning three (3) points for a
win, one (1) point for a tie, and zero (0) points for a loss. The team with the most points after 3 games will be
the top seed; the team with the second most points will be the second seed, and so on.
Tiebreakers
If two or more teams have an equal number of points, their positions shall be determined by the following tiebreaking formulas. In order to break the tie, the following formula will be followed until one rule determines
the position of all teams that are tied.

1. GAMES WON IN GAMES INVOLVING THE TIED TEAMS ONLY (HEAD TO HEAD): The order of finish
shall be determined by the team winning the most games between or among the tied teams.
2. TOTAL GOAL DIFFERENTIAL: Subtract goals against from goals scored in all games played. No more
than 5 goals per game. The order of finish shall be determined in the order of the greatest surplus.
3. COIN FLIP
Note: Forfeits — if a team forfeits any of its games, and becomes involved in any tie breaking formula to
determine its eligibility to advance to the next level of play, the forfeited games will be recorded as 1-0 victory
for the non-offending team. For seeding, the non-offending team’s average Goals against and Goals for will be
inserted as the criteria for the seeding process. The offending team will be reviewed to determine status,
eligibility to continue in the tournament, and if so a fair seeding for the team.
Championship Games
All games will be played under the same format as the regular games. If teams are tied at the end of
regulation and after a 2 minute break, teams will play 8 minute running clock sudden death period. This
format shall continue until there is a winner. During the overtime periods, the substitution horn is allowed,
