For precise control of the contact points make an unsawed control model in addition to the master
model.
Block prepared undercuts on the master model slightly with a light, possibly transparent wax.


►
►
Mark the margin of the preparation.
Wet the cavities generously twice with ESPE MODEL SEPARATING AGENT and then blow
carefully.

►
►
Make sure that no puddles remain in the cavity.
Dispense the required amount of SINFONY materials onto a glass slab.

►
Colored waxes will modify the color shade of the translucent composite.
Do not use light-curing materials, because they would bond with SINFONY.
During modelling protect the pastes from light with the light protective lid.
Build up the restoration step by step with the usual instruments in layers of up to 1 mm in
thickness.
Polymerize every layer individually with ESPE VISIO® ALFA for 5 sec.

Layers of more than 1 mm in thickness can cause stresses in the composite.
 Cusps and ridges can be easily applied with thin probes or nerve needles.
 Cover cores discolored by amalgam with Opaque-Dentin; otherwise use dentins,
enamels and a sufficient amount of transparent opal materials for a standard
build-up.
 For increased stability, especially when lifting off MOD inlays, build up the
approximal margins in slightly thicker (but not longer!) layers.
►
►
►
►
Correct premature contacts before polymerization with a scalpel; do not grind the restoration!
Lift the restoration off the model.
Carry out the final polymerization in the ESPE VISIO® BETA unit using the main program.
Finish as is usual with facings.
Preparation in the dental laboratory for the try-in
In order to allow the dentist an easy lift-off, a composite pellet can be polymerized to the restoration.
This facilitates the try-in and can be cut off after cementing.
Preparation in the dental practice for the insertion
Alternative 1
► Roughen the restoration basally with a fine bur.
► Apply a composite bonding according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Alternative 2
► Coat the restoration basally with ESPE COJET® sand.
► Then apply ESPE SIL and allow to dry.

For information on the processing of COJET System and ESPE® SIL please refer
to the specific information for use!
Bonding of Inlays/Onlays
►

Use an adhesive luting cement for bonding, e.g. ESPE COMPOLUTE®. For information on the
processing please refer to the specific information for use!
Facing of glass-fiber reinforced framework
Facing of glass-fiber reinforced framework
Framework design
Make the glass-fiber reinforced framework according to the specific product information for use. When
modelling framework with FibreKor®, use SINFONY to embed the glass fibers and make sure that no
glass fibers are worked into the marginal area.
Infiltrate Stick Tech® products before the processing with SINFONY Activator.
Framework preparation
For the framework preparation before facing a different procedure is required dependent on the
specific product:
Vectris® - Alternative 1:
► Blast the framework with 120 µm aluminum oxide under a pressure of up to 1 bar and allow to
evaporate.
► Apply Vectris wetting fluid and allow to take effect for 60 sec.
► Blow excess dry with oil-free air.
Vectris® - Alternative 2:
► Blast the framework with ROCATEC SOFT in the ROCATECTOR.
► Then apply ESPE SIL and allow to dry for 5 min.
Stick Tech®:
► Wet the framework with SINFONY Activator and wipe off with a lint-free cloth. Make sure that
there are no puddles.
Fibrekor®:
► No further preparations are necessary, because the framework is made with SINFONY. Build up
SINFONY in layers in the usual way.
DC-Tell®:
► Blast the framework with ROCATEC SOFT in the ROCATECTOR.
► Then apply ESPE SIL and allow to dry for 5 min.
Facing
Vectris®/ Stick Tech®/DC-Tell®:
► Make the crown margin and a thin coating over the entire framework with SINFONY
Opaque-Dentin. Build up in layers of up to 1 mm and light-cure every layer individually.
► Then build up the facing in the usual way, light-cure and finish.
