Last edition’s records exceeded: 244,532 visitors, 158 million contacts in the Italian and foreign media, an international profile on all fronts Rimini, 13th May 2013 - 244,532 visitors (a 7% increase on 2012) with a great multitude of trade members, buyers and presenters; a very large number of foreigners from 60 countries with massive participation from Russia, East Europe and Turkey; 158 million contacts in the media (28% of whom were foreign); an extraordinary profile on the social networks: from Facebook to Twitter and ShowOn. A success that will go down in history for the 8th edition Rimini Fiera show dedicated to wellness, fitness and sport, which brings together in one extraordinary event the worlds of physical energy and, with its optimism embraces and overwhelms the entire area, from the coast to inland zones, passing through the city. RIMINIWELLNESS 2013 was the expression of movement’s energy, social aggregation, unexpected flash mobs and pure shared enjoyment, all favoured by the latest technologies. Opened on 9th May with the participation of regional councillor Gian Carlo Muzzarelli, Rimini’s mayor Andrea Gnassi, Rimini Fiera chairman Lorenzo Cagnoni, Claudia Gerini, Raffaele Paganini and Elisa Di Francisca, RIMINIWELLNESS 2013 ended yesterday, confirming its role as an all-round international trade fair. With the patronage of the Emilia Romagna Region, Rimini Province and Municipality and with the media partnership of QN/QS and M2O, totalled 400 exhibitors and partners, 15 halls, 96,000 square metres occupied indoors and 66,000 outdoors, over 1,500 hours of lessons, 600 presenters from all over the world, 46 stages and 70 conferences and study meetings; plus dozens of events with a total of 20 km of coast “on the move” involved. For Rimini Fiera chairman Lorenzo Cagnoni, ““RiminiWellness is an extraordinary show international combining business with the numbers of an excellent tourist product. Here companies meet a qualified demand and visitors see first-hand the global supply of the latest generation of wellness products and facilities. International participation, which we have been targeting for several years with fine-tuned projects and investments, is greatly increasing and very satisfying.” Addressing foreign markets, important projects have been announced for RiminiWellness 2014. A different Partner Country will be proposed each year: in 2014 it will be Brazil – at the international expo with trade members, presenters and institutions – who will have the opportunity of presenting itself to the RiminiWellness world, bearing in mind the sports events that it is due to undertake as the key player: The 2014 Soccer World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games. Also in 2014 the launch is ready for the Wellness Food section, one of the 6 cores of the huge show, with an in-depth focus on balanced healthy eating, for sports and normal life.
