New Insights into Plant Remedies from Jan Scholten
study day with Dr Julie Geraghty
9.15am - 4.30pm , at Penny Brohn Cancer Centre in Bristol, Pill
investment: £80 (lunch and refreshments included)
Dear Homeopath
We will start a new year of study with the GEMS group on Friday 3 October. Julie Geraghty will
present a morning of new information on Plant Remedies from Jan Scholten's latest book
'Wonderful Plants'. Here he divides the Plant Families according to the latest APG3 botanical
classification, and plots them onto the periodic table, according to the themes of the rows and
columns.
Julie will highlight new Plant Families according to Scholten, and their themes, eg. Boraginaceae
(incl Symphytum), Carophyllaceae (incl. Saponaria offic.), Oleaceae (incl. Fraxinus americana),
Phytolaccaceae as well as additional information on known Plant Families like Crucifereae,
Compositeae and Cactaceae and more.
In the afternoon we will study your plant cases. Please prepare a presentation of a plant remedy
from any family and we will discuss it with reference to the known themes according to Sankaran,
and then as a group we will look at it from Scholten's perspective according to his themes and
stages.
Please bring a case to present rather than materia medica, and if you don’t have one of your own
cases then pick a plant remedy that interests you and find a case in Reference Works or in
Sankaran's 3 volumes 'Insights into Plants'.
Presentations should be around 10 minutes with discussion thereafter.
Looking forward to seeing you.
Julie Geraghty
