Day 9
Introductions
• Introduce yourself to the folks in your new
group
• Include one thing that you’ve taken away from
your work during RonP thus far
Goals
• Share one thing that you would like to learn or
think more about as a result of your work thus

Developing Mathematical Thinking
with Effective Questions
• The list of prompts are from PBS Teacherline
www.pbs.org/teacherline
• Over the course of a week of instruction,
reflect on your use of the prompts given
Your written reflection
• On a piece of paper, consider :
– What is interesting or surprising about the way you
have coded your use of these questions?
• Do you see clusters?
• Do you feel that you are missing certain categories?
• Are there other question stems that you feel
should be on this list?
– What are they?
– Where do they fit in PBS’ grouping?
• Other important things you felt or thought about
as you filled in the form
• Place paper in folder
3 Big Ideas

student learning
As a group…
• reconcile your list of big ideas
• reach consensus with from 3 to no more than
5 shared items
• craft group samples of what you would be
