City Council approves Siemens contract

Preliminary energy audit results received

Audit indicate city facilities are overall efficient

Audit analysis shows valuable energy savings in
the area of lighting improvements and upgrades

 Proceed
with lighting improvements and upgrades

to be provided in FY16 budget
 Improvements
to be made utilizing in-house labor
Energy Savings Examples
Water Treatment Plant Energy Reduction:




Eliminated eight high pressure sodium fixtures and
replaced sixteen LED fixtures, yielding 70% reduction in
energy consumption in process building
Replaced all T12 fixtures with T8 in process building for a
40% reduction in energy consumption
Purchased LED fixtures to replace high pressure sodium
fixtures in process building at Water Treatment Plant 3 to
be installed prior to FY15 end
Above projects will be completed utilizing in-house labor
