STANDARD Equipment ELAN E5
CERTIFICATION
The ELAN E5 is delivered with a CE certificate and meets the requirements
of European directive 94/25/CE for recreational craft. The CE class A
category certificate (unlimited Ocean voyages) is issued by Germanischer
Lloyd.
CONSTRUCTION
HEAD / SHOWER COMPARTMENT
Marine toilet, washbasin with pressurised mixing tap, storage locker under
the sink, locker with mirror, 1 manual shower tray pump, shower stall,
Plexiglas door, 2 overhead lights, opening deck hatch. Black Water tank
NAVIGATION STATION
Pivoting chart table, reading spotlight
HULL
Laminated with VAIL - Vacuum Assisted Infusion Lamination technology, to
considerably improve strength, mechanical and chemical properties of the
hull. High quality materials, SVG gelcoat for optimal chemical resistance
against osmosis and mirror finish, sandwich construction using multidirectional Fibreglass, on hull sides and single skin on loaded areas,
vinylester skin coat and Isophtalic polyester resin are used for high quality
product. Powerful inner structure distributes all loads from the keel and rig
effectively with a minimum flexing of the hull.
FORWARD CABIN
Double ”V” berth, 2 lateral stowage shelves, port and starboard stowage,
draws and stowage under berth, reading lights, overhead lights, deck
escape hatch, 2 small opening hatches (only one if 2nd head is chosen)
DECK
Built using hand lamination with sandwich construction using multidirectional Fibreglass and Balsa core, moulded anti slip surface on deck
and coach roof. 2,40m draft performance T shape keel (cast iron) as
standard equipment. Twin rudders with aluminium shafts for optimum
control.
AFT CABINS
2 identical double berth cabins, storage under the berth, lateral storage
shelves, reading lights, overhead light, an opening deck hatch per cabin, 2
opening portlights to cockpit in each cabin
HEAD COMPARTMENT (2nd head option)
Marine toilet, pivoting washbasin with retractable pressurised mixing tap,
storage locker under the sink, locker with mirror, 1 manual shower tray
pump, overhead light, small opening hatch, Black Water tank
INTERIOR
Interior is built with Light Walnut veneered type of Fineline plywood,
laminated Maple Grey floorboards.
MAST / STANDING RIGGING
Selden keel stepped aluminium anodised mast fractional, 2 sets of aft
swept spreaders, Selden silver anodised aluminium SLR - single line
reefing boom, rigid vang with gas spring, hydraulic backstay tensioner with
gauge, Windex, Stainless steel standing rigging 1/19,
SALOON
Folding leaf saloon table, custom side portlights, 2 deck escape hatches,
hanging lockers and shelves above backrests along the hull on both sides,
overhead lights, 2 large fixed hull portlights on each side.
RUNNING RIGGING
1 main halyard, 1 jib halyard, 1 Gennaker halyard, 2 jib sheets, 1 main
sheet, 2 Gennaker sheet, 1 Gennaker retriever, 1 outhaul for the main, 2
reefing lines
GALLEY
L-shaped galley, top opening cool box, S/S cooker 2 rings with oven,
double sink, mixing tap with pressurised water system, lockers, cupboards
and drawers, opening hatch above galley, overhead light, light over the
worktop.
