EUSAIR - funding
All Programmes operating in the area shall contribute to the
implementation of the EUSAIR goals, e.g.:
• Programmes directly managed by EU COM: e.g.: Life+, Creative
Europe, Horizon 2020, Cosme, Erasmus +, etc.
• ETC interregional, transnational and bilateral Programmes;
• ERDF, ESF, EMF funds;
• Contribution from other institutions (e.g. EIB, EBRD, WBIF);
• National/ international public/private donors.
ADRION will contribute
to support the governance and implementation of EUSAIR,
and its projects can contribute
to the governance & implementation of the Action Plan

The ADRION Programme – the Cooperation Programme
elaboration process
• August 2013: Launch of the new Programme - setting in place of
the Programme Task Force composed by representatives of the
participating countries
• April 2014: Start elaboration of the Cooperation Programme
• May 2014: Emilia-Romagna Region selected as Programme
Authority
• December 2014: Submission of the Cooperation Programme
• March 2015: First results of interservice consultation and delivery of
remarks from European Commission
• June 2015: Second submission of the Cooperation Programme for
final approval
• July 2015: Designation of the Head of Joint Secretariat

Overall goal
To promote sustainable economic and social
prosperity of the Adriatic and Ionian area through
growth and jobs creation, by improving its
attractiveness, competitiveness and connectivity
while at the same time preserving the environment
and ensuring healthy and balanced marine and coastal

and secure coordination with the EUSAIR,
regional and national RIS3 strategies,
innovation governance initiatives and
competence networks

helix” clusters in common interest fields
addressing all stages of the innovation cycle,
including idea generation, conception and
prototyping, transfer, patenting,

There is a need for a strong coordination among
the
managing authorities of ETC transnational programs
geographically located within macro-regional
strategies

The coordination between the different ETC
Programs and the EU Strategies Governing boards
would be helpful to better target calls to a more
limited number of strategic results.
