This Berlinale Special film is a co-production between
France, Germany and Belgium. The producers will explain
how the partners came together, how they financed it and
what it was like to work with the highly acclaimed and

The Berlinale Competition title THE DINNER by Oren
Moverman (USA, 2017) is a literary adaptation of Herman
Koch’s Dutch novel “Het diner” of which already an Italian
(2014) and a Dutch film adaptation (2013) exist. The
author, the literary agent, and the legal advisor will,
together with the producer who was involved in all three
film versions, shed light on the process.

in cooperation with Embassy of Canada
Festsaal
Virtual Reality in all its different applications, forms and
narratives is both a controversially discussed futuristic
phenomenon and an already established important factor
in many areas. With a focus on the Canadian VR scene we
discuss the current "state of the art", existing experiences
and upcoming projects and take a look into the nearest
future. How film producers can connect to Virtual Reality
will be our leading question - in a keynote, a talk and the
networking get-together afterwards.
