Importing LP-15 data into the ImageTrend ePCR.

Importing LP-15 data into the ImageTrend ePCR.
Import of LP-15 data is mandatory for all calls where the device was used. For those of you who are not
already doing this on MEDS, you will find that once you get the hang of it, it will save you considerable
time and effort by importing all vital signs. Additionally, if you utilize the LP-15’s event marker feature
to denote administration of medications, it will import that information as well.
We have taken delivery of new LP-15 modems that utilize the Verizon network and have WiFi capability
so transmissions will be substantially quicker and more reliable. These will be distributed within the next
few weeks.
Please use following procedure for importing the data.
1) Ensure your Tablet is powered on and has connectivity. Data is send from the LP-15 to the
tablet via the internet so connectivity must be present.
2) Ensure the LifeNet Communicator is running (This is configured to start at boot-up and is
usually always running) you can safely assume this is running unless you find later in the process
that your data is not being received. If it is not running, use the start menu to find the app and
start it.
3) Transmit your LP-15 data. Upon notification of a successful transmission, data will hit your
Tablet within a few seconds. The new LP-15 modems will also provide an audible tone when
transmission is complete. Make note of the date and time of your case for identification when
importing.
4) In ImageTrend, click on the “EKG IMPORT” Powertool (Yes, we put the powertools back on the
left side)
5) On the import screen, if you do not see any cases, de-select the “Show only recent cases” box
and cases should appear.
6) Select your case from the listing. Note that IMT does not include the Device name like MEDS
does. We are working with IMT to get this added but for now, you must rely on identifying your
trip by case date and time alone. Once selected, click on the Import button.
7) The LP-15 import process will import all vital signs, EKG’s, and most medications that are
available on the LP-15. Following import, you will need to go to the Treatment/Vital Signs
section to add any additional information for the import. Items requiring attention will be in red.
Items displaying a “Name: -5” or similar denote a default Physio marker which may be due to
entering a generic event on the LP-15 or a medication that is not supported by IMT. You can
open then delete these items or modify it to suit your needs.
NOTE: If you inadvertently import data from the wrong call, simply open and delete all erroneous
entries.
Tip: On all EKG Procedures there will be a small EKG icon visible. Clicking on this Icon will open an image
of the EKG in question so you can reference the rhythm and fill out the appropriate fields.
