Edelweiss is beautiful. It
is small. We can find
them in the
mountains. They are
very rear. It is a
protected flower.
A WILLOW TREE= VRBA
• Slovenian poet
France Preseren
wrote a wonderful
poem about Vrba- his
birthplace named by
this wonderful tree.

A LARCH= MACESEN
There are a lot of larch
trees in the Slovenian
mounatins. It is a very
strong tree. Cones
are small in the shape
of eggs. It is conifer.
A SPRUCE = SMREKA
A spruce tree is conifer
tree. It is beautiful. It
is a very big tree. We
see it in the forest.
We decorate it for
Christmas. A spruce
has cones. We make
furniture of spruce’s
wood.

Every village in our
country has at least
on linden tree in the
central market where
people use to meet
and spend time
together.
