Virtual Coworker Team Time Tracker Installation Guide:
Installation for Windows
Just download the installation package file and run it. The installation wizard will guide you
through the easy installation process.
Installation for Linux
Prerequisite

You should have Java SE 6 Update 26 or above installed. If you do not have it, please go
tohttp://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html to download and install
JRE or JDK Version 6 Update 26 or above. Please download the 32-bit Java SE (i.e., the
packages with "x86" or "i586" in the name) even if you are running 64-bit Linux.
After you install the JDK or JRE, please make sure your "java -version" command is
executing from the correct JDK or JRE. Here is an example.
Install and Configure Virtual Coworker TimeTracker

Download the Virtual Coworker TimeTracker package. The package is in zip format.
With the user login that is going to use the Virtual Coworker TimeTracker, run the command
"unzip linux_virtualcoworker_xxxxxxxx.zip" to unzip the package. You should be able to
see a directory "VirtualCoworker" created.
Execute command "cd VirtualCoworker/bin"
Execute command "chmod +x run.sh"

Execute command "chmod +x p.sh"
Launch the Virtual Coworker TimeTracker by executing command "./run.sh"
Installation for MAC
Prerequisite

You should have Java SE 6 Update 26 or higher installed. Please open a Terminal window,
and type command "java -version". If you have Java installed, it should show you an version.
Here is an example.

Update your Java if the version is lower than 1.6.0_26.
○ OS X Lion -- Please go to this page to install Java -http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1421. (OS X Lion does not have Java preinstalled.)
○ Operation system other than OS X Lion -- You can run a Software Update to
update your Java to the most recent version.
Install and Configure Virtual Coworker TimeTracker

Download the Virtual Coworker TimeTracker package. The package is in DMG format.
Click on the DMG file to launch it.
You should see an installation window like the following. Just drag the Virtual Coworker
TimeTracker icon to the Application folder.

Virtual Coworker TimeTracker requires the Access for Assistive Devices to be enabled (in
order to capture keyboard and mouse events). You can enable it by

Go to Apple menu and choose System Preference

Choose Universal Access
○
Check the box Enable access for assistive devices.
Go to you Applications folder and you should see Virtual Coworker TimeTracker.. Just click to
launch it.
