About our West of England Team
We're a large but friendly team comprising of approximately 40 staff covering 10 supported housing
contracts across Bristol, South Gloucester and North Somerset.
Why our Young People Service Team is great…
You’ll be managing a team working with vulnerable young people aged 16-25, who are impacted or
threatened by homelessness in the North Somerset, Bristol and South Glos area. The service also supports
young people who are leaving care.
The support provided will help young people to achieve their goals and aspirations, give them skills to
become resilient adults who can contribute positively to the community.
This is more than supported housing; it is about helping young people to find their advantages in life as well
as somewhere to live independently, developing skills and understanding and helping them to maintain
their resilience.
The team manager will manage a variety of high and low support services for Young People: North
Somerset service includes a 24-hour high support scheme as well as low support services across Westonsuper-Mare. Our South Gloucestershire contract covers service for young mums and single homeless whilst
the Bristol contract is a single homeless ‘floating’ and accommodation based low support service.
The team manager will directly manage 10 full time staff members– seven support workers and three night
workers.
There’s a space in our team… are you the right person to fill it?
We are looking for a Team Manager to join our Supported Housing team delivering a variety of supported
housing services across the West of England. During the maternity cover, you will be a vital addition to our
team and focus primarily on providing services to vulnerable residents and clients who are homeless or at
risk of homelessness. You and your team will need a positive “can do” approach to client-centred work and
be committed to providing excellent customer service, going the extra mile to ensure the very best
outcomes for your clients.
This is not a job without its challenges and you will need resilience in dealing with people coping with a
range of issues and your team will be looking for a stable and confident manager to provide direction and
support.
