What is it?
http://prezi.com/
What is it?
A non-linear way to present ideas.
Creates a “zooming” presentation.
http://prezi.com/
Why use it?
Why use it?
Visual representations help students
recognize how related topics connect
(NCTM, 2000)
Why use it?
Learners acquire and store knowledge in two
primary ways: linguistic (reading or hearing),
and non-linguistic (visual imagery, kinesthetic).
The more students use both systems of
representing knowledge, the better they are
able to thinking about and recall what they
have learned (Marzano, Pickering & Pollock,
2001)
What can we do with it in the classroom?

What can we do with it in the classroom?
As a teaching tool.
Example: Use an image from history. Zoom in to a
particular spot and have students ask questions about
the image. Gradually reveal the rest of the image.
