Under Section 1 – Personal Goals, Open the Desired Goal(s) Track your progress and view deadlines at the left side of your screen Option 1 - Expand all goals at once by clicking the Expand All button NOTE: option 1 lets you skip repeating step A. Option 2 - Expand one goal at a time by clicking the gray arrow before its name NOTE: option 2 requires you to repeat step A for each goal. Track your progress & deadlines NEW!! Rate Your Performance on Each Goal Select the appropriate rating number from the drop down list Select Your Goal Rating from the Drop Down List. Add Performance Notes Related to Each Goal Click “Add Performance Notes” to access an editing text box. Either manually type notes or import applicable notes from your Performance Notes file (also see Job Aid - Creating, Editing, and Importing Performance Notes) NEW!! Click “Add Performance Notes” to access an editing text box for manual entry or import of performance notes. ePerformance: Importing Existing Performance Notes A. Access Performance Notes Entry Screen Performance Notes are entered and stored in their own folder in Self-Service Notes in that folder can be selected and imported into any Performance Notes text box within your Performance Appraisal Best Practices: Add performance notes throughout the fiscal year Create notes related to personal goals Record details regarding dates, deadlines, measurable actions and outcomes If performance notes have not been created prior to your work on your appraisal, simply manually enter your comments in the text box All ratings require supporting comments! Click “Add Performance Notes” Be concise; bullets suggested. B. Open Stored Performance Notes 1. Select “Performance Notes” from the drop down list 2. Click “Go” ePerformance: Importing Existing Performance Notes C. Search Stored Performance Notes Entering a Date Range is NOT required but can be useful if you have a large number of performance notes Click Search D. Select Desired Performance Note(s) then Add to Comments Section 1. Select individually or use Select All 2. Click “Add to Comments” ePerformance: Importing Existing Performance Notes E. View Imported Performance Notes F. Format then Save Imported Performance Notes Formatting is not required, however, it makes your notes more legible and professional looking Once desired formatting is complete, click “Save and Return” This is an example of separating each imported note by date (pressing enter in front of each date) and formatting the date in bold and blue font color (using the Editing Bar). ePerformance: Section 1 - Edit Approved Goals, if needed A. Click the Edit [pencil ( )] icon located in the right section of the displayed goal, to open the “Edit Item” screen. NOTE: Approved goals cannot be deleted, only edited. Edits DO NOT appear in your leader’s view (Performance Appraisal). Edit B. Make desired edits. Update when done
