Public Access P.C.’s are available for members of the public to use. Please check the weekly
programme that this facility is available as there may be times when the room is booked.
Where there is a public holiday, groups that meet on a monthly basis may move their meeting to
either the previous or following week.
MEMBERSHIP CHARGES
Membership of the centre is open to all community groups within the area who operate in line with
the Community Centre Constitution.
Cost from —£25.00 per annum (September to August)
In addition an entrance fee of:50p per Adult
20p per Child/Young Person
20p per OAP’s/Unemployed
LETTING CHARGES
Individuals and groups who do not pay membership but whose aims are compatible with the
Community Centre.
£5.00 per hour
Individuals who wish to hire the centre for a private function.
£8.00—£12.00 per hour during core hours only
At other times—price given on enquiry.
Organisations and individuals who would use the centre to provide a service whilst earning a profit.
£8.00—£30.00 per hour
Funded Voluntary Organisations.
£8.00—£12.00 per hour (price given on enquiry)
CONDITIONS OF LET
All groups will be responsible for insuring their own belongings.
The Management Committee
The Community Learning & Development Service believes that local people should manage local
resources and develop the management of community centre to an elected committee.
The committee is made up of individuals who are either involved in the activities of the centre or
who have an active interest in developing the centre as a focus of the community.
The committee meets monthly and discusses all aspects of the management of the centre and the
needs of the community.
The committee must take account of West Lothian Council Policy and are assisted by Customer and
Community Services worker who is responsible for the day to day operation of the centre.
The committee are elected annually in May.
