performance. People at the Team Member level do not have any people reporting to them on a day to day
basis
 Position Summary
Lady Lawley Cottage provides high quality services to young people with a disability (aged 0-18 years) and
their families. Clients are supported through our three programmes which include:

High Needs Unit, offers fixed and often long term supports to children with specific support needs

Day & Short Stays, providing service users the chance to ‘have a break’ from home whilst taking part in
new and exciting activities and meet other young people

Community Engagement programme, supporting our clients in the home/community through a range of
strategies offered throughout the Perth metro area.
The Play Assistant Volunteer position assists our Activity Coordinator to run and facilitate on-site activities
and excursions for the young people at LLC. Activities may include arts & crafts, baking, face painting,
musical play, imagination play (dress up’s), water play and well as trips off site to local parks, attractions and
amusements.
Primarily required for weekends and school holidays this role would suit someone who is keen to volunteer
on a regular basis.
 Position Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
 Help to organise and facilitate on site activities
 Attend excursions and provide assistance to our support teams whilst off site
 Ensure that clients are engaged and happy whilst part in planned activities/events.
 Willingness to think outside the box, to be proactive and flexible when engaging with out young people
 Ensure that our young people are safe whilst taking part in activities through compliance of Red Cross
policy & procedure.
 Attendance and participation in Lady Lawley Induction Training
 Completion of mandatory Red Cross e-learning modules

Essential Qualifications/Licenses
 Working with Children check as it is a mandatory requirement for this role and our volunteer coordinator
can assist with the application process.
 Successful Red Cross Crim Trac as it is a mandatory requirement for this role
