Guest Player Instructions
1.
Any player wanting to Guest Play must be registered with NTSSA. Please contact the player’s local home association for
registration. WE DO NOT REGISTER PLAYERS AT THE NORTH TEXAS OFFICE.

Your Guest Player Release form will not be approved until all the necessary signatures are present. These signatures are as
follows:
 Player signature
 Parent signature
 Player Registration Number. Please contact your coach or home association for this number.
 Releasing Coach signature
 Receiving Coach signature
Do not send the release to NTSSA without all the necessary signatures as we will not be able to process

If a player has a Release from a competitive team to either recreational or competitive soccer, that release must also be sent
in with the Guest Player Release form. No exceptions. NTSSA will act as the Releasing Coach for all released players. NTSSA
will act as the Home Association for all released Recreational players.
If a coach refuses to sign a guest player release for tournament play occurring during the month of June (or tournaments that
include any part of June), the guest player release may be presented to North Texas soccer for approval by the Youth
Commissioner. If they players current team is not playing in any US Youth Soccer sanctioned tournament or other US Youth
Soccer sanctioned event during the time specified on the guest player release, permission to guest play will be granted. (The
above does not include indoor soccer.) see rule 4.7.1.5
If you fax in your release, please include a cover sheet with the email of fax number you would like the approved release sent
to. Without this information we will not know where to return the approved form.
If a guest player needs a player card or a registration number, please contact the Local Home Association or League the
player plays with. Your Local Home association is responsible for printing your player card and issuing registration numbers, if
your manager has not already provided you one. If you do not know who your Local Home Association is, please ask the team
manager or coach, and contact them for your player card.

4.7.1 When traveling out of NTSSA for friendly or tournament games, NTSSA shall allow the use of the number of guest
players that is allowed by the tournament or hosting organization.
4.7.1-2 The recreational guest player may not be transferred or added to the hosting team’s recreational roster for the
remainder of the current soccer year, and all of the following soccer year, unless the player transfer is approved by the
player’s home Member Association.
4.7.2 Teams will be allowed up to five (5) guest players, providing the hosting organization allows guest players. These guest
players and guest players on teams traveling out of NTSSA may participate in any or all of the tournaments that the team may
enter. The use of guest players shall be in accordance with the above Paragraphs 4.7.1-1, 4.7.1-2 and 4.7.1-3, when
applicable.
4.7.3 Coach must have appropriate signatures before turning into the tournament director.
4.7.4 Guest players may practice with the team on which they are a guest player only if the dates for the practices are
included on the guest player release signed by the guest player's registered coach. Violators of this rule are subject to
discipline under the rules governing use of ineligible players.
4.7.5 A player on a select/competitive team may not participate as a guest player for a recreational team unless the team is
playing in an open or select/competitive tournament
4.7.6 Academy players who are not rostered to a recreational team are not eligible to participate as a guest player on any
other recreational team.

to guest play with a team from a State Association other than North Texas State Soccer must fill out the Region III
