Hello Coaches!
AYSO Region 249 is proud to invite your team to the 26TH Annual AYSO Turkey Tournament
Scope:
AYSO Section – open to AYSO Teams only from Section 2.
When:
Saturday & Sunday, November 26th & 27th 2016.
Where:
The tournament will be in San Bruno, California and in the surrounding cities. No pets are allowed at fields.
Who:
AYSO boys and girls teams in age divisions: U-14 (11 v 11 ) 15 players max, U-12 (9 v 9) 12 players max, and
U-10 (7 v 7) 10 players max. All players must be registered to play in the AYSO 2016 primary season. There is
a limit of teams per division.
What:
Every team will play a minimum of 3 games, with Sunday being single elimination. All games will be two
twenty (20) min. halves except the U12 and U14 Championship Games will be two twenty five (25) min. halves.
Saturday Night Keeper Wars available for two players from each team (and others depending on space).
Why:
The San Bruno Turkey Tournament is being conducted as a fundraiser for the San Bruno Region 249 Cultural
Exchange Event and for Field Development, Equipment & Maintenance.
Awards:
All players and 2 coaches per team will receive a tournament pin and program. All bracket players on the 1 st,
2nd, 3rd & 4th place teams will receive a medal.
Entry Fee,
Refunds
$500 for U-14, $450 for U-12 and $375for U-10. A full refund will be issued if tournament is cancelled and
cannot be rescheduled. If a team withdraws 30 or more days before the tournament, a full refund is given.
Within 30 days of the tournament, no refund is provided unless a replacement team is found. Each team will
need to provide a second Referee Deposit Check of $150 which will be destroyed upon a referee team fulfilling
9 referee slots (for example 3 people x 3 games each).

Acceptance:
The application postmark deadline is October 21, 2016. Any application received after this time will incur an
additional $50 fee. No applications will be accepted with postmarks after 10/31/2016. All teams will be notified
within 72 hours of receipt of application or the application deadline (whichever is latest) as to their status.
Teams that are not accepted will be given the option to have their complete application returned or to be placed
on the waiting list.
How:
Team entry application and all necessary forms are available on the tournament website. Please send two
Regional Checks (no personal checks) for the entry fee and Referee deposit along with the tournament
application, referee information form and team roster to the Tournament Registrar address below. Regional
Commissioner must sign application and team roster. Appropriate referee administrator must sign referee
information form. See referee form for details.
