Leadership Teams: Harnessing Positive Energy to Create School Change
Thur. July 13 - 3:15-4:15PM| Gathering Room 2
Topic: Leading | Session Type: Concurrent
Teamwork can be used to effectively and significantly impact school change. Matter of fact, it is next
to impossible to generate positive results when addressing school change without the concerted efforts
of teams ... but what happens if teams get stuck? Many times differences in passions and personalities
among team members can stop change in its tracks, and hard-working individuals are unable to bring
about the changes they seek. The challenge of leadership when trying to facilitate successful teaming is
working with the conflicts that often arise in a group. During this session, tips for building successful teams
will be shared, and participants will begin to create a toolbox of activities for the development of effective
team management, problem solving and action planning. Activities will include specific objectives and
format for addressing different types of team issues.
