Fridays - March 31 & April 7, 14 @ 6:30PM
Saturdays - April 1, 8, 15 @ 6:30 & 8:00 PM
A Solar Eclipse is a beautiful and unique
sight. The last total solar eclipse in the USA
was almost 100 years ago, but one is coming up this year. Millions of people will be
watching
the eclipse
on August
21, 2017.
Although
Muncie is not
in the path of
totality, the
city will see
the Moon
cover up
roughly 90%
of the Sun.
Come learn
about solar eclipses and what you need to
do to prepare yourself for the 2017 Solar
Eclipse. Best suitable for ages 10+

Space
exploration,
our greatest
adventure,
is having a
big impact
on our lives.
To Space &
Back takes
audiences
on an
incredible
journey
from the
far reaches of our known universe to our own
planet. It is an extraordinary story of human
ingenuity and engineering, describing how the
technology that transports us through space
is paving the way for the devices and apps we
use every day. Suitable for ages 8+
This event features music from Ball State Alum, Peyton Cox. Peyton
composed an album of original electronic music about time called
“Pendulum” for her Senior Capstone project in the spring of 2016.
It then premiered in the planetarium, taking advantage of the
Charles W. Brown Planetarium’s surround sound and state-of-theart projector technology. Join us for an encore presentation of this
unique planetarium experience. Best suitable for ages 8+

The sky on cold winter nights has some
of the brightest stars and the best known
constellations. Some of these stars are truly
supergiants hundreds of times bigger than
our Sun, while others are dwarfs the size of
Earth. Along the winter Milky Way there are
colorful clouds where new stars are being
born. Come and enjoy a guided tour of this
celestial wonderland and learn how to use
star charts to aid you in finding constellations
and more. Suitable for ages 8+
Saturn’s rings are one of the most beautiful
sights in the solar system. Astronomers have
known
about
these rings
for over
400 years,
yet they
still present many
questions.
In 2004
the Cassini
orbiter and
the Huygens probe
reached Saturn. During this show we will
explore the mysterious features seen by this
spacecraft. Best suitable for ages 10+
