The Performance Hall of the new venue will be a spectacular 500-seat theater on two levels with
perfect sight lines and impeccable acoustics.
Plaza & Amphitheatre

Located in front of the Biery-Witt Center, the outdoor Grand Plaza will welcome patrons
gathering to attend performances, parties and outdoor performances.
Main Lobby

Patrons will gather in this space before performances and during intermissions. Groups attending
conferences will view vendor information while they mingle during breakout sessions.
Main Stage

The Main Stage is the heart of the performance hall. This state-of-the-art professional stage will
be able to accommodate any type of performance, from a full Crested Butte Music Festival
opera to an intimate setting with a solo artist.
Founders Lounge

An ideal environment to gather before a performance, at intermission, or for a meet-and-greet
function with artists, the Founders Lounge will be a room also available for VIP receptions and
private parties.
Multi-Purpose Lobby

This acoustically-isolated performance and rehearsal gallery will accommodate a myriad of
activities from smaller weddings to pre-show dinners to arts rehearsals and performances.
Founders/Wedding/Event Courtyard

more.
Lobby Café/Concession Bar & Main Staircase

During the day, enjoy a latte or grab a snack in the casual surroundings of the Main Lobby. It
will transform into a Bistro Bar and concession area to serve patrons attending a performance.

The main staircase will provide access to the upper level balcony and lobby/lounge, where
patrons can experience great views of the performances on stage. (also available in separate

Orchestra Shell & Orchestra Pit

The Orchestra Shell is an essential component for symphonic music. Symphonic performances
will be enhanced by this feature and the audience will be able to enjoy each performance with
uncompromised clarity. The Orchestra Pit will enable musicians to be seated for an opera or
theatrical performance. When the orchestra pit is not needed for a production, it can be covered
bringing the floor to audience level, providing more space for seating or it can be converted to a

Conductor’s Room, Star’s Rehearsal/Dressing Room, Performer’s
Rehearsal/Dressing Rooms, & Green Room

The conductor’s reserved dressing room will enable the evening’s maestro a time of solitude
before a performance or a private space to work with a soloist. The Star Dressing Room is
ready for a quick entrance or costume change. The Green Room is the heart of the backstage
where performers and production staff can gather to relax and recharge. These rooms will be
sound isolated to provide rehearsal and practice space. (also available in separate naming

Skyline Terrace/Upstairs Lobby

Another beautiful feature of the new Center will be an outdoor garden setting just off of the
Skyline Gallery. With gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains and wildflowers, it will be
a lovely setting for a glass of wine or a cup of coffee before a performance or at intermission.
Orchestra Shell

The Orchestra Shell is an essential component for symphonic music. Symphonic performances
will be enhanced by this feature and the audience to enjoy each performance with
uncompromised clarity.

Administrative Office Suite

Performances are wonderful, but where is the backbone to orchestrate such stellar events?
Near the Main Stage and Grand Lobby, this office suite will allow staff to interact with
artistic directors, performers and patrons. This area is truly essential to a smooth running
performing arts and event center.
Conductor’s Room

Patron Services Ticketing Center

The Patron Services Manager will get you the best seat, tell you about exciting upcoming
performances, or help with tickets for your guests. This highly visible center in the Grand
Lobby is a key component to the Center.

Satellite Postal Boxes

For years, Mt. Crested Butte has needed its own post boxes for residents to pick up their mail.
Finally, there is the perfect location at the Biery-Will Center. Drop by after a day on the
mountain, grab a beverage at the café and relax while perusing your newly delivered mail.
Residents of Mt. Crested Butte will always be grateful for your generosity.
Patron Drop-Off Drive

The ease of arrival at the new Biery-Witt Center only enhances the entire experience. You
will be able to drop your guests at the front door entry then proceed to the nearby parking
garage. It will also be convenient to pop into the Ticketing Center to pick up tickets or check
your mail at the Postal Center.
Patron Elevator

Don’t take the elevator for granted. It is essential to move patrons, supplies and equipment
between the main street level and the mezzanine. It is integral to the functionality of the
building and comfort for its patrons, not to mention assisting our patrons with disabilities to
access all levels of the Hall.
Restroom Lounges

Sometimes these rooms are taken for granted until the moment that they become a top
priority. At the Biery-Witt Center, there will be audience facilities on both levels for your
convenience. Also included is an ADA Family restroom which will include a changing table
for our smallest guests. All patrons to the Center will appreciate your generous support.
Grand Curtain

When a patron enters the Hall in anticipation of a great theatrical performance, what stands
out? The beautiful stage curtain, of course! The audience is in their seats, the lights dim, and
the curtain rises to unveil the magic behind.
Stage Door

Through this special entry to backstage, every person connected with the performance will
pass. It could be an international opera star, a TV personality, a chorine hopeful of becoming a
star one day, or the maestro himself. Eager fans will wait anxiously outside after a
performance, waiting for a cherished autograph. And your naming “star” will grace this
entrance where history is made.
Coat Check Room

Coats are important to residents of the Valley. But once inside the Center, they become a
nuisance. All visitors will appreciate this great convenience. It can also double as a valet
office should you require that for your special occasion.
House Production Office

The new Center will have its own Technical Director who oversees the entire backstage
operations and coordinates with the administrative staff and visiting performing groups. It is a

critical position for the smooth operations of the facility and this office will be “home” for
many long hours each day.
Visiting Company Office

With modern technology, performance groups usually need computer hookups and printers
while they are in residence. Once considered a luxury, this office is now a must for an
efficiently run facility.
Grand Piano Storage Room

The grand piano must be stored in a climate-controlled location readily accessible to the stage.
Rather than pushing an expensive concert piano into a corner, this often-overlooked room is
essential to maintain the exceptional assets of the Music Festival.
