Reports from Standing Committee Chairs: Annual Meeting Chair Nanette Founds Cheri Burch has compiled the following information for the 2012 NMNWSE Annual Meeting: It’s time to put the NMNWSE Annual Meeting on your calendar for November 2-4, 2012, in Alamogordo, NM. The Friday evening reception will be at the NM Space History Museum, with the Museum open for our browsing. Saturday the morning general meeting and the afternoon technical session will be held in a museum classroom. Saturday evening’s banquet will be at the Historic Tulie Cantina in Tularosa. And we’ll close with Sunday morning’s board meeting at a meeting room at the Best Western Desert Aire in Tularosa. Registration costs: Early-bird registration (before October 1) $30 First-timer registration (before October 1) $20 Late registration $40 Saturday lunch $10 Saturday banquet $25 MNMWSE Board Mtg. Tinka is working with the Annual Meeting Committee to finalize the conference registration form and meeting flyer, and anticipate that will be posted on the meeting webpage by the end of next week. We recommend you make your hotel reservations early! Karen would like to be able to de-couple the membership mailing from the Annual Meeting mailing if the AM plans are delayed. Elizabeth Kallman and Nancy Savage are giving Jennie info on the protocol. Let Jennie know if you have ideas about where to solicit nominations and publicize award. * The 2012 IMPACT! Award nomination deadline is 1 October 2012. Tinka Gammel is awaiting final approval of the draft forms from our 2012 IMPACT! Award chair Jennie DeMarco, and anticipate having the 2012 nomination information and forms posted at http://nmnwse.org/ImpactAward by the end of next week.
