Important Information
The Matrix MF-530 is not supplied with a compressor, if the building is fitted with an air
supply this can be used, if a separate compressor is required the minimum specification
would be 6 bar, 11CFM. The compressor should be drained regularly otherwise the tank
will fill with water damaging the compressor, it is also advisable to fit an air trap to the
compressor outlet to prevent moisture getting into your MF-530 Feeder which can cause
problems.
When lifting the feeder cover for loading ensure that it is lifted fully and locks in place
otherwise this can drop down causing damage.
The Matrix MF-530 includes 2 types of suction cups (2x yellow and 2x red), the 2 yellow
suction cups are fitted to the system as standard and are suitable for stock 250gsm and
under, if using heavier stock you will need to fit the red suction cups.
With the feeder in use the recommended minimum running speed would be 3m/min.
With sheets less than 350mm in length the recommended maximum machine speed
would be 7m/min.

Set-Up & Installation
Cover plate
Remove original feed table and take off
the cover tray
Remove new cover plate from
packaging. Fit new cover plate to the
Matrix laminator
Paper guides
Lock in place with existing screws
Attach paper guides, these are packed
separately to prevent damage in
transport
Tighten paper guides with a crosshead
screwdriver. Take caution when
attaching feed table ensuring paper
guides locate correctly between feed
rollers.
Fit new feed table with Auto Feeder
attached

Paper guides location
Use locking screws to secure feed table
Use push fit connector to attach airline
from compressor
NOTE: Air pipe required is 8mm Ø
Connect feeder interface table
Connect the interface cable from the
feeder to the socket on the right hand
side of the Matrix laminator
Side lays
Side lays
Connect power lead and tighten
Adjust side lays to fit sheet size - ensure
prints are set in the centre of the feed
tray. Ensure you leave a 1-2mm gap
(space) between sheet stack and side
lay so as to allow free movement.

operation
Switch feeder on
Pull out air pressure gauge & adjust
until set at approx. 60psi (4 bar) 0.3 MPA
Set operation to manual & set manual
speed to zero. When the feeder is set to
the manual position the paper feeder
will operate once which is used to feed
the first sheet up to the stop. Once
done return to auto.
Set control panel temperature, anti-curl
as per general useage
Press drive button
Adjust speed to required meters/feet
per minute
Please Note: Will not run sheets less than 350mm length faster than 7m/min. It is advisable not to run machine less than 2m/min.
1. Air pressure gauge - displays set pressure - NOTE: the
thinner the prints the less air pressure requires, the heavier
prints require slightly more pressure - as a guide, set to 4
bar/0.3MPa and adjust as above if required.

2. Air pressure regulator - pull out to adjust, turn clockwise to
increase pressure, anti-clockwise to decrease pressure.
3. Speed control - generally set to ‘O’ . When the Matrix is
running over 5m/min, this may need to be increased to keep
up.
