Greenkeeper
Reports to:
Course Manager
Main Purpose:
To carry out ground maintenance duties ensuring that the course is at all times
presented in the best possible condition.
Key Accountabilities









Cutting all playing surfaces, change holes, moving markers, raking
bunkers, spraying for weeds etc; ensuring that the course is at all times
presented in the best possible condition.
Construction, aeration and turfing work/duties.
Irrigation system maintenance.
Maintain high standards of customer care at all times.
Understand the Trust’s policy on Health and Safety and to ensure that all
duties performed are carried out with full regard to the safety of
customers, visitors, contractors and other employees; work within the
Health & Safety, COSHH, Risk Assessment and HAVS Assessment
guidelines at all times.
Ensure the efficient and effective operation and safe handling of all
machinery and equipment following Trust policy and procedure.
To operate grass cutting machinery safely and effectively; care and
maintenance of machinery and the reporting of loss or damage to line
manager according to Trust policy and procedure.
Undertake ad-hoc projects and assignments as required.
Any other duties that may be required.
Knowledge and experience required






SVQ/NVQ 2 in sportsturf maintenance or equivalent (desirable).
Minimum of 3 years experience as a junior greenkeeper (desirable).
Driving licence (essential).
Good knowledge of maintaining and repairing irrigation systems
(desirable).
First Aid Certificate (desirable).
PA1, 2 & 6 Spraying Certificate (desirable).
