As part of our constant drive to improve our service to you we are excited to announce the launch our new Junior Learn to Swim membership: Skills Guaranteed. What is Skills Guaranteed? A 30-minute weekly lesson Unlimited free swimming during public sessions for the child and an accompanying adult Skills Guaranteed - or we’ll teach your child for free*. Parent toolbox to help your child to swim Discounts on badges and one to one lessons Club swimming taster sessions and mini-competitions. Who is it for? Parents who want to be part of their child’s aquatics journey and give them the best possible start to achieve to their full potential. How much does it cost? £22.50 per month per child by Direct Debit. Tell me more! We believe that you as the parent are just as much a part of your child’s aquatics journey as we are. Our new ‘Skills Guaranteed’ membership provides you with a toolbox of tips on how to help your child in the pool, along with nutrition and fitness advice so you can get your child into good habits, whether they want to be an elite athlete or just continue swimming for fun once they’ve passed Stage 7. As the most important part of learning is practise the membership also gives unlimited free swimming to every child and an accompanying adult. That’s right - you can bring your child swimming absolutely free as many times as you like during public swimming sessions at Abbey and Becontree Heath Leisure Centres. If you bring your child swimming once a week that’s a monthly saving of over £16.00 on the adult swimming price and it costs just £2.10 more per month per child. Although children learn at different rates we believe that with our expert tuition and your time spent helping them to practise no child should be left behind. That’s why we’ve also introduced our ‘Skills Guaranteed’ promise. Skills Guaranteed Promise If your child gets stuck in a stage beyond the maximum expected number of weeks then we will get another teacher to conduct a full independent assessment and we will offer additional free sessions and other targeted interventions until your child meets the criteria to move up. Better still, if you have been actively involved in your child’s learning process and brought them swimming to practise outside their lesson at least twice a month then we will teach your child for free until they are ready to move up. So what’s to stop us from moving up your child before they’re ready? To give you reassurance that your child is being taught to the full ASA Expected Standard you can view videos of all the skills required on your smart phone (http://bit.ly/LTSoverview) and compare these against your child. If you feel that your child is not being assessed to the standards shown then let us know and we will be happy for one of our managers to use our video analysis app so we can show you a direct comparison of your child to our expected standard videos. If they don’t meet the standards then we will give them extra tuition until they do. Not only that, but as our videos show exactly what is expected during our lessons if at any point you feel your child’s lesson is not matching this expectation then let us know and we’ll do something about it. By the end of Stage 7 we guarantee that your child will have the skills to enable them to reach their full potential in whatever way they choose to continue their aquatics journey. How can I sign up?
