Accepting and Rejecting Changes
Prequisites: User must know how to locate and open
PowerPoint, and how to operate a mouse. Also, user must have
general knowledge the toolbars location and how to add
toolbars to the current screen.
Typical Use: Adding and rejecting changes is used when being
possibly reviewed by another user or to see the
editing/comments to your presentation.
Related Skills: Other Microsoft Office programs have this same
feature that PowerPoint does and is used to review and
accept/reject changes.
Start out with a PowerPoint presentation that is being worked
on.
Make sure that the “Reviewing” toolbar is on your current
screen by going to “View” (third tab from left) and scrolling to
“Toolbars” and finding the “Reviewing” tab like shown below:
When highlighted, the four options circled below will go
through the comments or changes that were made. The first
option is “Previous” works from the starting point you are
currently on working towards the beginning of your
presentation. The second option “Next” moves from the point
you are working on towards the end of your presentation. The
third option “Accept change” allows the change to occur only if
you think it is appropriate. The last option, “Reject
change/delete comment” will get rid of that change or
comment suggested.
