Net attachment and tie-down points
Attachment points for the installation of the
standard cargo nets (door nets and divider
nets) and optional divider nets are
provided in forward-, aft- and bulk
compartment.
The cargo nets must be installed for bulk
cargo transportation as described in WBM
and shown on the cargo net attachment
placards.
For quick access to bulk cargo, optional
door net assemblies can also be ordered
with a reduced No. of net fasteners (basic
for A318).
Tie-down points are installed in forward-,
aft- and bulk compartment to allow the
individual restraint of single items.

Bulk cargo door
The A320 and A321 have a basic
bulk cargo compartment door.
The bulk cargo compartment door
opens inwards/upwards and has a
balance mechanism to reduce the
force required for the door
opening.
A latch secures the fully opened
bulk door in place.
Manual unlocking, opening, closing
and locking of the bulk cargo door
is controlled by an exterior handle.
Adequate indication of bulk cargo
door locking is provided on the
ECAM.
