We require exclusive use of the performance space from the start of the getin until the end of the get-out. The full complement of the venue’s technical equipment, as listed in its technical specification, to made available for the entire duration of the company’s stay. If any item becomes unavailable or cannot be made to function correctly, Protein may require at no cost to us, suitable alternative equipment to be sourced as soon as possible. Front of House and General Information The show runs for approximately one hour, with no interval. Latecomers are to be admitted at a suitable point as discussed with the Technical Manager. The show contains strong language. The touring company consists of : 2 Technicians 1 Choreographer 6 Dancers LOL Protein Dance International Technical Rider – Page 2 Set The set consists of three paper screens that will be flown from suitable points in the roof. The screens have been treated with Flame Check. Minimum stage size: Minimum grid height: 10x10 Meters 5.9 Meters Protein Dance Provide: Paper for Screens. Venue to Provide: Suitable hanging battens for the screen (see attached drawing.) Weights for screen (see attached drawing.) Grey dance floor. Dance floor tape. Black box masking running in ‘German Style’ i.e. in a straight line from the DS edge of the stage to the US edge. If it is impossible to rig the above masking then all areas backstage to be cleared from loose equipment. LOL Protein Dance International Technical Rider – Page 3 Sound Mixing Position: The show contains a large vocal element, therefore we require a mixing position in the auditorium. It is not acceptable to use a mixing position in a control box. The control position takes up a space of 2440mm x 1220mm (8” x 4”) Protein Provides: Playback Computer. Radio Microphones tuneable to six frequencies in the range 606 790MHz. Venue to Provide: Sound system capable of an even full range coverage of the entire auditorium area Two on stage foldback speakers (Four if available) Front fill system comprising a minimum of three compact speakers placed on the downstage edge of the stage. All cabling to connect the desk to the speakers. Access to all loudspeaker management devices, delays and equalisers FoH mixing position with large table. Appropriate licenses for radio microphones. Sound Desk AV The performance contains a large video element, with all playback coming from the sound playback computer. Protein Provides: Playback Computer. VGA Output to Projector Venue to Provide: Projector of at least 5000 lumens capable of projecting an image of 12m x 6m at the back of the stage. (Preferably Sanyo XT35 or XP100) Cradle and associated rigging for projector. Cable and interfacing to connect to the VGA output of the playback computer. LOL Protein Dance International Technical Rider – Page 4 Lighting Venue to provide the full lighting kit as listed in their technical specification. Ideally the Lighting operator will sit beside the sound operator in the auditorium. If this is not possible then please provide an intercom system to enable the two operators to talk to each other during the performance. Protein Provides: DMX Shutter for projector Venue to Provide: All DMX cabling to interface to Dimmers and to DMX shutter (Usually on a balcony front position.) 18 x 1K Fresnels or PC 13 x Wide Profiles (S4 50º) 24 x Narrow Profiles (S4 19º) 8 x Booms of at least 2m length, with a total of 19 boom arms 2 x Floor stands A minimum of 56 channels of dimming under DMX control. All colour filters as detailed in the plan. A suitable method of accessing the lights for focussing (Tallescope etc) Lighting desk outputting DMX512 Wherever possible, lighting, (including floor lanterns), to be rigged, plugged and working prior to our arrival. A lighting plan will be sent to the venue by our Re-Lighter. All electrical items that are toured with the company carry an up to date test record and documentation can be presented on request. The show will be operated by our touring Re-Lighter, however we will require a member of in house electrics staff, familiar with the in house lighting equipment, to be present for the technical period.
