On behalf of the Memphis chapter of the 100 Black Men of America Inc., we would like to extend the opportunity to your
organization to participate as a sponsor for our 10th annual, “100 Black Tie Gala & Awards Ceremony.” During this
event we recognize individuals who, through their work, demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the mission of our
organization.
This event is the major fundraising opportunity for our organization’s expansion of the mentoring and educational
program through The Academy of Health Sciences Charter Management Organization. It is through the Academy CMO
that the 100BMOM oversees the education of nearly 750 children at the Memphis Academy of Health Science
Middle and High School campuses.
The 100 Black Men of America Inc., focuses its efforts and energies on improving the lives of African-American and other
minority youth in our community, by pursuing the “Four for the Future” programs established at the national level:
(1) Mentoring (2) Health & Wellness (3) Education and (4) Economic Empowerment
In celebrating this year’s event theme, “Building Future Leaders of Tomorrow…Expanding Our Reach & Impact”, our
organization will honor and acknowledge four individuals who demonstrate outstanding service in these areas.

currently demonstrated through our community vision
around mentoring and our education efforts at
Memphis Academy of Health Sciences but you’ll also be

and their impact in the Memphis communities in which

The 100 Black Tie Gala & Awards Ceremony will be held
on Thursday, February, 23, 2017 at the beautiful
Esplanade in Cordova, TN. The gala evening will begin
with a 5:30 VIP social & cocktail hour, our awards
ceremony hour will start with seating promptly at 7pm.
The evening will also feature exciting programming,
Mardi Gras themed music and entertainment, a seated
dinner - capped off with the awards to our 2017
honorees. Our special guest will include elected officials,
local executives and other key businesses and
organizations.

About The Academy of Health Science Charter Management Organization
The Academy of Health Science Charter Management Organization is The 100 Black Tie Gala & Awards
Ceremony gala is a major fundraising opportunity for its educational program, The Academy of Health
Science Charter Management Organization. It is through the Academy CMO that the 100BMOM oversee
the education of nearly 750 children at the Memphis Academy of Health Science Middle and High
School campuses. MAHS was founded by the 100BMOM in 2003 in response to the dearth of quality
educational opportunities for young people in the North Memphis area. The Academy is uniquely
focused on preparing its scholars to enter the healthcare profession as well as other exciting
professional careers. The foundation that our scholars gain on each MAHS campus fosters an
environment where students are motivated to achieve and empowered to become successful, selfsufficient members of the communities we serve.
About Memphis Academy of Health Sciences
Memphis Academy of Health Sciences equips students with the necessary skills to be competitive in the
21st century. With an emphasis on the health sciences, our students will demonstrate the ability to read,
write, speak and calculate with clarity and precision. MAHS schools of excellence will empower students
toward life-long learning, academic achievement, character growth, community building, and a desire to
excel in their potential in college and life.
About 100 Black Men of Memphis
The 100 Black Men of Memphis, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization with a primary mission of
serving and uplifting our community through educational, economic development, mentoring, and
health and wellness programs. Our members serve as a strong force for overcoming the cultural and
financial obstacles that have limited the achievements of African American youth, with a particular
emphasis on young African-American males. The mission of the 100 Black Men of Memphis Inc.
(100BMOM) is “to improve the quality of life of all communities, and enhance educational and economic
opportunities for all African Americans”. The 100BMOM promotes programs that focus in the areas of
mentoring, education, economic empowerment and prevention health/wellness for targeted
