POSITION : MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Job Profile
 Review to tender documents including scope of works, drawing and
specification.
 Preparation of site drawings from contract drawings and reviewing BOQ with
the help of draughtsman.
 Knowledge in DM Specification.
 Meeting with contractors and consultants for final Material Submittal approvals,
Drawing approvals and progress of projects.






Carryout periodical site inspection during construction period in order in to
ensure
the works near utility services per agreed procedure.
Handle daily schedule needs of different projects in relation to material,
manpower and equipments.
Preparation of material list of pipes, valves and fittings.
Resolve pipe and fittings construction issue with relevant traders and
contractors.
To coordinate with procurement to review the purchase order for material and
ensure delivery as per schedule.

joint, flange adaptor, air valve and GRP Pipes.
Performs visual inspection for final fix.
Ensure that workers follow environmental, safety and health programs.

Automatic Distance Measurement & Braking Using Ultrasonic Sensor
The main components used are Ultrasonic sensor unit with display, IR sensor unit, control
unit with power supply, solenoid valve, Flow control valve, Compressor.
The ultrasonic transmitter circuit and IR transmitter unit transmit ultrasonic rays and IR rays
respectively. If any obstacle is there in the path the ultrasonic rays are reflected and will be
received in the receiver unit and obstacle distance will be displayed on the display unit. And
IR rays struck on the obstacle get reflected and will be received by IR receiver unit and these
reflected rays will give control signal to the control unit which is used to activate solenoid
valve. If the solenoid valve is activated the compressed air passes to the single acting
pneumatic cylinder. The compressed air activates the pneumatic cylinder and moves the
piston rod. If the piston moves forward then the then braking arrangement activates. The
braking arrangement is used to brake the wheel gradually or suddenly due to the piston
movement. The braking speed is varied by adjusting the valve called Flow control valve.
