YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES FOR RETRIEVING YOUR CHILD AT PICKUP TIME:
1) Park and go inside
2) Wait in the Car Rider Line
If you choose to park and go inside you will need to park in a designated parking area then send an adult inside to
retrieve your child. Note this choice is usually faster, BUT there is very limited parking. If the parking areas are full, you
will be directed to the nearest exit where you can go to the Car Rider Line.
If you choose to wait in the Car Rider Line you must remain in your car at all times. When you reach the pickup area your
child will be called out via radio. Your child’s name tag must be displayed clearly in your front window. If you do not have
a name tag for your child, you will need to park and go inside to obtain one.
DIRECTIONS TO THE CAR RIDER LINE & PARKING AREAS:
If you are coming from Indian Trail Boulevard:


head NORTH on Steve Reynolds Boulevard
go to the FIRST traffic light and make a left turn onto Mustang Way
If you are coming from Beaver Ruin Road:


head SOUTH on Steve Reynolds Boulevard
go to the SECOND traffic light (go past the school) and make a right turn onto Mustang Way
To Park and go inside:



follow the BLUE arrows to the parking area (note handicapped parking is in front of the school)
use the LEFT LANE to go around the Car Rider Line if needed (you do not have to wait in line)
park in a designated parking spot then go inside to retrieve your child
To wait in the Car Rider Line:



follow the YELLOW arrows to the end of the Car Rider Line
form a SINGLE LINE and wait for your child to be called
stay in the RIGHT LANE until your child is in the car
Once your child is in your car:



follow the RED arrows to the nearest exit
if you are in the Car Rider Line, you can use the middle lane to exit immediately
if you are in the parking area, you can use the left lane to exit immediately
IMPORTANT:



Do not leave your car if you are waiting in the Car Rider Line (unattended cars will be towed at owner's expense)
There are three lanes of traffic in the pickup area:
o The right lane is for the Car Rider Line (note there is only ONE LINE for car rider pickup)
o The middle lane is reserved for cars exiting the Car Rider Line
o The left lane is reserved for cars exiting the parking area
Do not attempt to stop in the middle or right lanes of the pickup area. You will be asked to move immediately so
that traffic can continue to flow.
Note the first two weeks are always the worst traffic. Once everybody figures out the traffic patterns things will go much
more quickly and smoothly.
