May 2017 Dear Bridgepoint Family Health Team Patient: As you may or may not be aware, there has been a recent outbreak of Mumps in Toronto. Currently, Toronto Public Health is recommending that those born between 1970 and 1992 receive a mumps vaccine booster. We are extending this letter to those born up to 1995 as our records indicate that you may be missing the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella booster vaccine. We invite those born between 1970 and 1995 to schedule a vaccine at Bridgepoint. While it is not mandatory, we would encourage you to bring with you any previous immunization records you might have. If you are unable to attend during these clinic times, please feel free to call the Bridgepoint Family Health Team at 416-470-6690 to book an appointment at your convenience. Please also keep an eye on our web site, as we may add more clinic dates as needed. If you are pregnant, you will have to wait to have the vaccine until after you have given birth. If you are trying to get pregnant, you must wait one month after receiving the vaccine to conceive. If you would like more information regarding the Mumps outbreak, please visit the Toronto Public Health web site: http://www1.toronto.ca/wps/portal/contentonly?vgnextoid=633653ca5c08a51 0VgnVCM10000071d60f89RCRD Sincerely, The Bridgepoint Family Health Team 1 Bridgepoint Drive, Toronto, ON M4M 2B5 T 416-461-8252 bridgepointhealth.ca
