Great competitiveness and bad luck for Ricciardo Kart
Racing in Round 2 of the KFJ European Championship
weekend, imposing its
superiority in the heats
and, bad luck aside,
proving it had what
it took to battle for
victory in the Prefinal
and Final, as well. Let’s
hope for more luck in
Sweden.”
In the second round of the KFJ CIK-FIA
European Championship took place in
Brandon (UK), Ricciardo Kart Racing
proved its competitiveness all weekend
long.
The Karting Team founded
by Formula One driver
Daniel Ricciardo started
out immediately on top
with Rasmus Lindh: third
fastest in his qualifying
session, then winner of
three heats and second in
the other.
In the Prefinal, Lindh
started
from
pole
position and joined the
battle for victory. Then,
unfortunately, a technical
problem took him out on
lap 7 as he was running
second. In the Final, he
had to start from thirtyfourth, but thanks to
a sustained pace and
several overtakes, he
managed to come in tenth
at the flag.
Rasmus Lindh, #206:
“We were competitive all
weekend. It’s a shame
we had that glitch in the
Prefinal, because we
were running second and
fighting for victory. I am
looking forward to the last
act in Sweden, with all my
fans there to cheer me
on.”
