15% commission payable to West Carleton Arts Society – up to and including 60 days after the Show
on any sales that result from a viewing during the show.WCAS will deduct 15% Commission and pay
the Artist the balance of the sale price.
The committee will review all applications. The choice of the selection committee is final. Membership in the
West Carleton Arts Society is mandatory. Please see the website for membership benefits.
Applications must include:
1.
Two images of work you intend to show, each less than 1mb each, 300 dpi. The artwork/article size and
medium must be specified. Images should not include frames or other background, should be full-on
images, and should not have watermarks or names other than the signature on the image. Images should
be named with artist’s/artisan’s name, number and the image title i.e. Joe blogs 01‘sunrise.jpeg’.
Maximum width is 30 inches. Due to space both pieces may not be able to be hung at the Plant.

Submitted pieces must be exhibition ready. The frame must be in good condition, dusted and clean. If
not in a frame the piece must have the sides finished either with paint, stain fabric, etc. The Artwork will
not be hung if it does not meet these standards.

Artwork must remain hung until the end of the Show. Artwork that is purchased will follow these steps:
Artists must make arrangements for the Purchaser to pick up the art. The Purchaser may come and pick up the
artwork at the take down- permission must be sent to [email protected] by the Artist at least 24 hours in
advance. The purchased art is the Artists responsibility – not the responsibility of the Committee.
4.
You will be notified by email upon acceptance. The City of Ottawa needs your permission to photograph
all art for publicity purposes. This is mandatory for this venue. The obligatory forms will be sent upon
acceptance.

Procedures: Please fill in the following information it is imperative that this is filled in in it's entirety.
Drop off: will be on a Saturday morning, at the Plant/Bath Community Centre: 930 Somerset Street
West, Ottawa, Ontario K1R 6R9 – You will be notified of the drop off date at least one week in
advance. Should you not be able to drop off your artwork then Contact the Committee to make
arrangements to drop off. Committee: Karen Mackay, Mario Cerroni and Jo-Ann Zorzi.
Pick Up: Pick up will be a Saturday afternoon. IF YOUR PIECE IS SOLD: you are responsible for the
Purchaser to either pick it up then or you deliver the artwork to them. You and the Purchaser will be
emailed with the appropriate Contact information. Payment will be made to The West Carleton Arts
Society where 15% will be deducted and you will be sent your cheque of the asking price less 15%.
