 2016 QUAD ITE/IMSA JOINT CONFERENCE LYNNWOOD CONFERENCE CENTER, LYNNWOOD, WA MAY 23‐25, 2016 General Call for Presenters GENERAL INFORMATION Submission Deadline ITE WA must receive materials must be received by ITE WA by 11:59 PM Pacific time on Monday, March 21, 2016. Submission Format All abstracts should not to exceed one page and are to be submitted to [email protected]. Presenter Selection and Notification The 2016 ITE QUAD Program Committee will meet to select presenters and to finalize the conference program. For each accepted panel or speaker, the Program Committee will assign the time and date of presentations on the conference schedule. The Program Committee reserves the right to accept submittals as panel or speaker presentations. If you are selected, you will be notified by email around April 15, 2016 of your presentation date and time. This notice is sent to the presenting author of each individual speaker session or each member of the selected panel. If the study has more than one author, the contact person is asked to share the information with the other author(s). Conference Registration ALL PRESENTERS ARE REQUIRED TO REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE AND TO PAY THE APPLICABLE REGISTRATION FEE NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, APRIL 29, 2016. Members of ITE will receive a registration fee discount. Presenters will also receive a discounted rate. Employment in an organization that is a current Organizational Member of ITE does NOT confer individual or student membership rights. Individuals may join ITE at the time of registering for the conference to take advantage of the discount. If the primary author is unable to attend the conference and has made arrangements for someone else to present the paper, that person must register for the conference and pay the applicable registration fee. 2016 QUAD ITE/IMSA JOINT CONFERENCE The conference schedule and registration form will be available soon and will include applicable registration fees. Free lunch will be provided to presenters on the day of their presentation. DEFINITIONS Speaker Session A speaker session is a session consisting of presentations of research, projects/best practices, methodology and/or theory development/conceptual analysis. There are two kinds of speaker sessions: Individual Speaker Session: Consists of papers on similar or related topics grouped together by the Program Committee from abstracts accepted for presentation. Panel Speaker Session: Consists of an overview abstract and three (minimum) to five (maximum) abstracts, and is organized by the submitters to present a set of planned papers related to a specific topic. Panels may consist of research papers, methodological and theory papers or project/best practices papers. Panels may also consist of a mixture of the types of papers. SELECTION CRITERIA General Presentation abstracts should reflect or include: 
Internal consistency of purpose/aims and methods; 
Clarity of presentation; 
Implications and significance of the study/project/theory for the discipline and transportation practice. ELIGIBILITY Research, projects/best practices, and theory development/concept analysis undertakings must be completed by the presenter submission deadline to be eligible for presentation either as an individual or as part of a panel. In‐progress research or projects may be considered for speaker presentation. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION SAMPLE A sample of the paper format is found below. 2016 QUAD ITE/IMSA JOINT CONFERENCE 2. Bioform: The bioform will be populated with information supplied when an abstract is submitted. INFORMATION AFTER PRESENTERS ARE SELECTED Presentations Speaker: In general, each presenter in a speaker session is allotted 15 minutes for the presentation, with 5 minutes for audience questions. Presentations will occur in the order they appear in the program. Presenters are expected to attend the entire session in which they present. Conference Brochures and Registration Form: Presenters will be listed in the program schedule posted on the Conference website and handed out at the conference. The program schedule and registration form will be available on the Conference website in April/May 2016. The onsite printed program will include the specific time for each presentation, the name of the moderator for each session and meeting room assignments. Commitment Each submitter or panel contact person will be notified about the Program Committee’s decision on acceptance of a presentation. Each presenter is asked to accept the invitation to present. Except in cases of emergency, we expect presenters to honor their commitment to present. There is a charge of $100 if a presenter notifies ITE WA that they will not participate after the proceedings are finalized. QUESTIONS?
