Texell serves members every day, striving to deliver great
rates, excellent support, security and peace of mind. That’s
our job here. But it’s never about simply meeting standards
at Texell, and it’s never only about those who walk through
our doors or contact us by phone. It’s about making Central
Texas a better place to live, and finding ways beyond our
job descriptions to give back. That’s how Texell Serves.
When Texell serves, we don’t just write a check. We get
hands-on. We prepare and provide meals to Feed My Sheep
in Temple, participate in blood drives for Baylor Scott &
White Blood Center, hold free financial literacy seminars for
community groups, perform tasks for the Ronald McDonald
House, and participate in community fundraiser events.
Perhaps most inspiring is that these initiatives are employeedriven and implemented – largely before the workday, after
hours in the evenings, and on weekends. “When a volunteer
event is underway, it’s remarkable to see this team together.
Whether it’s organizing a library of books or putting
together brown bag lunches, there is energy and excitement
behind it,” stated Amy Merriman, Texell’s Chief Operating
Officer. “So keep an eye out for our enthusiastic crew
wearing green Texell Serves T-shirts,” Merriman continued.

And by the time you read this, Team Texell will have
prepared another day of brown bag lunches, held another
blood drive, and presented another three seminars. Our
volunteer program motto is “Texell Serves.” It’s more than
just a sentiment. It’s action.
Texell has a group of employees who schedule, organize
and encourage others to participate in each event. “We’ve
never had a shortage of volunteers. Ever,” said Texell team
