“APM Workshop - September 28, 2007”
Agile Project Management
Workshop
Welcome and Opening Session
APM Workshop, Milan, September 28, 2007
1
Objectives
This Workshop is expressly designed to respond to
3 critical topics:
1.
What is Agile Project Management?
2.
How can APM help me?
3.
How is APM Different?
APM Workshop, Milan, September 28, 2007
2
Not Objectives!
This workshop will not…
1. Deepen the several agile methods that have been
developed in today’s project environment
2. Give a magic formula to solve every problem or a
single and predictive way of managing agile projects
3. Answer to every possible question about Agile
Project Management and its implementation in the
different contexts
This workshop represents a starting point
and not an ending point for APM development
APM Workshop, Milan, September 28, 2007
3
Structure
• General session on APM theories: the international speaker
Sanjiv Augustine summarizes the APM basic concepts and
presents his APM model and its 6 Practices, described in the
book “Managing Agile Projects”
• Working session in subteams: participants are subdivided in
6 working groups. Each group examines one of the 6 APM
Practices, providing considerations, findings and proposals that
will apply on site the specific APM Practice.
• General presentation and discussion session of the APM
proposals: each group presents their results to others
attendees and to the Keynote Speaker. The Keynote Speaker
comments each presentation, replies to the participant’s
questions and concludes the workshop with his final
considerations about the APM topics.
