Please see below and attached. MSO 300: SUPPORT MIE will provide all support services for faulty MSO 300 devices which were bought through MIE or are double linked to MIE. MIE will liaise with the client to ensure that all problems are resolved as promptly and efficiently as possible. MIE will advise the client about the different options available when they experience a problem with the MSO 300 device. A. MAINTENANCE 1. A MSO 300 device does not require any day-to-day maintenance except for cleaning it with a dry/damp lint-free cloth. B. MSO 300 Devices: Errors and Repairs 1. Errors received when trying to capture fingerprints with a MSO 300 device can be caused by the following: 2. Incomplete or incorrect software downloads All 3 sets of software were not downloaded to the laptop or personal computer (in the correct sequence). Fixing software-related errors will take between 1 to 4 hours. The client is advised to contact MIE on 012 644 4000 for software support and troubleshooting. A repair request form should be requested from MIE on which the client must explain in detail the error messages / codes received when trying to capture fingerpints. 4. The client can courier or hand deliver the faulty device together with a photo copy of the serial number of the device and the signed repair request form to the MIE Offices in Centurion: Building Number 1 Jean Park Chambers 252 Jean Avenue Centurion 5. MIE will email a quotation for repairs amounting to more than R1 000-00 (excluding VAT) to the client within 14 working days from the time the faulty MSO 300 is delivered to IBSS by Muvoni. Repairs amounting to less than R1 000-00 (excluding VAT) will automatically be invoiced to the client’s account. 6. The client will be given a MIE Loan MSO 300, at no cost, if a MSO 300 Device is available – please request repair request form for more information. 7. The turnaround time for repairs is between 6 and 16 weeks, depending on the damage. C. MSO 300 Devices: Warranty 1. MSO 300 Devices come with a 1 year free warranty. 2. Extended warranties for an additional 1 or 2 years is available (prices can change without prior notification): a. Year 2: R290-00 (excluding VAT) – once off payment per MSO payable to MIE b. Year 3: R460-00 (excluding VAT) – once off payment per MSO payable to MIE 3. Warranties on MSO’s can only be extended for new purchases or within 11 months of date of purchase (please take note this will be the date the MSO was ordered from Muvoni by MIE).
