A 3-year postdoctoral position financed by the Swiss National Science
Foundation is available in the group of Prof. Philippe Reymond in the
DepartmentofPlantMolecularBiology.
TheresearchprojectiscenteredonthemolecularresponsesofArabidopsis
plants to egg deposition by lepidopteran insects. We are particularly
interested to understand how the egg-induced salicylic acid (SA) signaling
pathway affects plant responses to diverse biotic stresses. We use a
combination of insect bioassays, forward and reverse genetic approaches,
and transcriptomic analyses to decipher the biological relevance of egginducedresponses.

Research in the Department of Plant Molecular Biology focuses on the
elucidation of molecular mechanisms and their variation in plant growth,
development,abioticstressresponseandbioticinteractions.Ithostsseven
