STEPS in Gowning up:
1 *Hand washing

4 Cap & Shoes covers

7 Gloves
Hand washing before PPE
Wearing of Respirator N95
Hold respirator in hand
Cover Face with Mask
Bands over the head
Fit Respirator N95 to face
Test Respirator N95
Wear Goggle, Cap & Shoes Covers
Donning Gown & Gloves
Removing (PPE) after attending SARS cases
STEPS:
1 Remove Shoes Covers (inside out)
2 Remove gloves (inside out)
*Hand washing
3 Remove gown (inside out)
*Hand washing
4 Remove Caps from back (inside out)
5 Remove Goggle, clean with liquid soap under running water
3Xs, rinse & dry, ready for next use
6 Remove N95 (put into paper bag and discard in plastic lined
dustbin)
*** Thorough Hand washing
7. Wear Surgical Mask (Leave SARS unit)
