Newsletter April 2016 - Buderim United Soccer Club

Newsletter April 2016
Welcome to the 2016 season at Buderim United Soccer Club.
We have made it through our grading games for our U11+
teams and Rooball carnivals for our U10 and younger teams.
We hope you have been having fun and success with your
fellow team members and families.
We are proud that Buderim United Soccer Club is in an
outstanding position in our 31-years of operation. This year we
have 22 teams ranging from U6 to U17 plus 2 men’s senior
teams.
Last weekend we had a number of our players compete in State
Titles at Redbank Plains. Congratulations to you all on a huge
weekend. We are sure you all did your best and competed in
the spirit of the game.
Presidents Report
It’s been a great start to the season for BUFC. Thanks to all the
volunteers who assisted with our first two home games, which
helped create a fabulous atmosphere and contributed to a
great day. It was also brilliant to see the inflatable soccer field
in use on the second home game, which really added to the
kids enjoyment on match day.
I would also like to acknowledge the work behind the scenes of
the new committee who have worked hard behind the scenes
to get the season off to a great start. Thanks also to
Tony and Mark with your efforts with all the line marking on
the fields so that we can all enjoy the great Fishermans Road
fields on match day with pride.
Good luck to all BUFC teams this coming weekend. Remember
that it is about all our children playing soccer in a safe and fun
environment.
See you Saturday,
Ross G
We have been successful in acquiring a grant
from the Queensland Government and the
Gambling Community Benefit Committee to
supply and install barrier netting behind the
fields on the southern end. We are currently speaking to
Sunshine Coast Council on the best way to instal these.
Buderim United FC would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to
-
Sunshine Mitre 10 and John McDougall for the supply and
materials, Morwood Constructions for the labour and
construction and Wayne Potter for painting all for our new storage areas in the clubhouse.
Without your generous support we would still be dreaming of
meeting this goal.
Club Photo Fundraiser
Team photos are booked again this year for Saturday 14th May.
The roster for this can be found on our website
www.buderimunitedfc.com, on our Facebook page or speak to

out to each manager, so ensure you complete this form and
bring on the day. Additional envelopes will be available on the
day. The photographer has requested that all teams be at
allocated photo area at least 15mins before their allotted time,
to ensure the ontime operations on the day.
